SILVER LINING https://www.reverbnation.com/kaynemusic/song/33853130-sliver-lining
This song is mostly all BIAB. I originally wrote this on acoustic guitar, it was slower and finger picked folk rock. I was playing around with various styles and came across this Smooth Jazz groove that seemed to fit it better. BIAB is amazing at helping to stimulate new ideas and grooves. Let me know what you think. Thanks ****** Song Summary ************* Title: Silver Lining File:Silver Lining.SGU Key=Eb , Tempo 110, Length (m:s)=4:34 No intro. 124 bar chorus, from bar 1 to bar 124. Elliott, I have said for years that the BiaB listed genres are not in stone and you proved it with this song, i.e. what started out as a slow finger picked folk guitar ended as a moderate tempo smooth jazz song. I really like the groove in this one. As usual an outstanding vocal, backing tracks, and mix.
My dad showed me a 30-minute PowerPoint presentation of why one should always wear a condom during sex. They were all pictures of me!

Outstanding vocal! This song would work in any genre. I love this jazzy arrange, but I imagined this would sound just as good as your original finger-picked folk song.

Oh, yeah, so cool changing the song with new Styles. I'd like to hear the picking guitar original. This is killer, man. I really like those changes, and your vocal is excellent for bringing out the fineness of those lyrics. What an excellent band. Interesting how you use swing soloists when the song is even, and it works brilliantly, especially the guitar. Well done, Elliott.

Great job taking advantage of BIAB the way you did, Elliott! Good song structure and cool chord changes.

Great job Elliot on this arrangement. This is a good listen and you definately have vocal skills.
https://soundcloud.com/user-646279677BiaB 2025 Windows For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

I agree- sometimes BB pulls you in a direction you never thought of going. Whatever the 'original' this is a cool version and arrangement. I enjoyed the listen. Many thanks Ian

I like it, even though it's not my preferred genre. And it's always an interesting experience when you try songs in different styles.
