Hi Folks. Been away for a while. Many good tunes emerged in U.Showcase, lots of catching up to do. This is my latest tune and the last for the year. Had very little time for music in the past few weeks, so I am actually happy I was able to record this one. All comments are welcomed and Thank you for giving this time. Storm On The Horizon When faded billboards lose their meanings Keep on running - don't stop moving Dejavu flashing neon signs: -"I have seen this movie" Night is sparring with day Love is wrestling with hate Life is fighting decay This train is going nowhere.. Tracks been stolen by thieves There are too many "ifs" Storm is looming on the horizon. Life will make you dance on ash Laugh in the face of the death, Conquering fears Spending years on sharpening spears to be cast at the sun Love will lift you high as feathers Make you roll like a rock from the mountain Seconds feel like years - staring at the sun. When words stop carrying meanings, start running, don't stop moving. Dejavu flashing neon signs: -"I have seen this movie" Night is sparring with day, Love is wrestling with hate, Life is fighting decay. This train is going nowhere.. Tracks been stolen by thieves There are too many "ifs" Storm is looming on the horizon. Hey Rusty, with the peaceful transfer of power threatened in the US, an attempted coup in Germany, a war raging in Europe, climate change and chaos in much of the world, this song is particularly important.
"When words stop carrying meanings, start running, don't stop moving."
Great job all around. Hopefully the current and coming storms will be manageable.
https://soundcloud.com/user-646279677BiaB 2025 Windows For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Cool sound! The words come so fast, they're almost like stream of consciousness, with The flute gives it a hip sort of beatnik feel. Always happy to see a new song by you!

Awesome intro!
Your productions are always interesting. This surely is no exception.
That flute indeed puts stuff to a higher level.

Misha, I LOVE the way these lines almost collide "Night is sparring with day Love is wrestling with hate Life is fighting decay" That really communicated the urgency.
The intro reminded me of the theme from The Man From UNCLE for some reason.
Jethro Tull will be furious as your song has more power and immediacy that their latest flute rock album. Pity it's the last for the year but I know you're a busy man.
EXCELLENT track.

Hi,
Yes a most interesting song, lyrics and vocals.
Ray is right - this could be a Jethro Tull hit song.
I also like the opening - very effective.
Best Regards Nigel

Great energy to this song. Love the synths and how you brought the flute back in. Quite a production. Well done!

Great sound on this one Rusty - and some cool writing too. I felt sometimes that the vocal was getting a little lost in the mix, but that could have been just my old ears. Glad you had time to post this one, very original.

Misha,
Cool opening. Excellent write (as always). Sung with passion. Nice guitar solo. Cool Tullish flute. Drums sound great. Nice synth strings. Tons of energy. A great listen.

Misha,
Intriguing and magnetic right out of the gate—great intro. Has a really cool Bowie vibe for me. Terrific arrangement and mix—all the right elements; powerful electric guitars and the drums just push this forward. Impressive tune!
Happy Holidays,
Deej

You manage to make each song a mixing masterpiece, Misha. There is so much in there, yet you make it all work as one. There seems to be something smothering the vocal --2750, I believe. ON the other hand, it seems very appropriate for the style. The whole song has a cool hurry-up-and-beat-the-approaching-storm feel, and your words are depressingly real. Another brilliant write, and, as others have mentioned, it was a great choice with that Ian Anderson like flute. Very well done.

Very nice and strong images in the lyrics. Interesting progressive rock mood, I really enjoy the chord progression. The flute is an excellent choice, wish there was a similar RT...The solo guitar part fits also very well. The feel of urgency captured excellently, the storm is really close. Nice way to end your musical year, thanks for all the delicious treats. I wish to enjoy them also in 2023 Janne

Misha, You captured the ominous intense mood suggested by the lyrics very well. Love the flute and ,of course, the whole RustySpoon style of this!
