At last, after a very busy year, I managed to finish a new one from a lyric sent to me by Mike LeBlanc. The original lyric was quite light hearted but I cant do light hearted so had to re write it a little and write a bridge for contrast. I was told, after a hearing test recently that my hearing has deteriorated (mostly on the high frequencies) so I hope I have compensated for that. Some of "The Band" I only used for a few bars. Bass 1254, 4020, 1825 Synth 1278 Guitars 1681, 2201, 2444, 405, 2534 Drums Mallets Folk slow 8ths Whistle 3770 https://soundcloud.com/vic-arnold/spaghetti-western?si=70627ad945574d05866d441715cf80c5&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharingSpaghetti Western © 2023 M. Hi Vic ...
You and Mike put a great song together. The break before the verses is a real nice touch. And the change-up in the bridge is great!
I particularly like this couplet:
Or maybe sitting in a small cantina telling white lies, to a senorita
I enjoyed this a lot. Nice to hear another one from you.
Alan

Thank you Alan. The hardest part was trying to sing the title. I had to redo it a number of times. Not sure why but it just didn't trip off the tongue easily for me.

Ha, I love that --can't do light-hearted... That statement is in itself light-hearted. I know what you mean, Vic. You do these so well and you definitely have a great voice for the style. Good write, and you know how impressed I am when someone writes songs from lyrics. Man, that bridge is a great contrast. Good write!

Really nice sound Vic! That acoustic guitar lead sounds fabulous! Title really fits the content! IT's got me wanting to try some more laid-back material like this! TB

The title piqued my interest. You've got the SW sound down with band. Sounds cool. Loved the bridge. I enjoyed this!

Thank you Marty. The bridge was added by me. I felt it needed one to bring the dream down to pasta reality. Glad it worked for you.
