All fine from this perspective - don't turn into Kanye Elliott though. I felt a little pressure during some of the louder vocal parts - evidenced around 1.26. It may be that the vocal effect is causing some larger phase issues, (reminds me of the feeling I get when I hear speakers out of phase but not as aggressive as that). Terrific singing.

I remember this being posted before - very nice. But like rayc, I notice there's some sort of phasing going on between the harmony and the lead vocal. Not sure what it is, but... Still, very nice song.

You are so smooth, Elliott. Love that strong bass. Did you do something different with the vocal chain on this one? Sounds over-Melodyned or something, but I really like it. The song is such a classic Kayne feel which is a good thing. Good catchy lyrics and an excellent mix. Much enjoyed.

This has a happy go lucky feel to it and was a little reminiscent of a Jimmy Buffet vibe.
Great band and those drums sound very good with a nice pop to them.
The mix sets up an excellent soundstage on our monitors.
Enjoyed it!

PS There does seem to be a “swirly” sound when harmony vocals are present. But perhaps to go with: "LIKE A SHIP ON THE OCEAN I SET MY SAILS FREE IN PERPETUAL MOTION JUST A WAVE IN THE BREEZE"

Elliott, Loved that groove, very Buffet like. Great backing band, super sounding drums. I do agree about the vocal thing but it didn't detract that much. I believe the problem is with the harmonies. Were they sang or generated by a pitch correction program? Regardless, I really liked this one.

I had to use some pitch correction especially on the long high notes and harmonies. Sometimes my skills as a composer is greater than my skills as a singer, and I write melodies I can't sing.

Hi Ellioth,
To start with your words above my post: I don't agree that there is a separation between you as a composer and as a singer. You do very well on both parts! A lovely song and a very nice voice. Ah, there was some tension on the higher parts, like Ray and others wrote, but I'm sure you will fix that. But the main thing is that it's a very lovely song!
