Dewey,

Your songs are good. Well written, well sung, well produced.
This is no exception.

Since you are involved with NSAI (in a leadership role?) I would think that you would understand how important it is to a community that everyone be involved. This is such a community. There are a good number of posters who also write and produce good stuff. You should check them out.

I listen when the title intrigues me and enjoy hearing how different styles are produced. Not big on commenting if someone else already said it. I also do not expect people to comment on my songs unless they are compelled to.

Hi Dewey,

As far as this song is concerned, we completely agree with Floyd.
We also agree with his remark about being part of a community.

And you say you only listen to other contributions if you are intrigued by the title, but like Shakespeare said: What's in a name?

The "name" is the hook. No worries folks I'll keep listening but promise not to post as often.

So Dewey, since we know each other now and I had a very good time at one of your events, I am going to be careful. For professional reasons--since I am a "leader" as well.

But there is a maddening problem on this forum that I find to be rude and disconcerting and I think folks should stop enabling it. The forum IS a community. Common sense would dictate that if someone takes the time to listen to one or in many cases several or many of your tunes, you would have the courtesy to listen to theirs. Or simply not post.

That goes for all of us on the forum, in my opinion.

The song title is quite sensational, it by itself tells a big story.

Lyrically and musically great.

Hi Dewey
This is a really cool country song
I'm not a country expert, but I really like the overall melody
of the song. And I also think the song
could easily be adapted to other styles of music.
I think that's what makes it so interesting.
Very good work and great singing
Many greetings
Andi ;-)

Dewey,

Yeah, this is very well done. I particularly like your vocal performance on this—sits sweetly in the mix. And the close harmonies really make that chorus pop. Great melody and lyrical write. Catchy alliterative hook. Excellent work on this!

Best regards,

Deej
