Howdy Dewey....

This is a good write....mix works for me.
Lead vox has a good melody & BGV's are tight and clear.
Well performed all around.

Back to it....

Excellent write, well sung and produced.

It seems redundant to talk about lyrics to the person who wrote this, but indulge me... I love how you used title object is as a device to tell a story, in a way that feels authentic and emotionally honest. You pulled me into the song, both with the sad backstory and the narrator's take away.

Top-shelf writing!

Really, not much else to say, other than really well done. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Excellent write, Dewey. I really like how you build it. Excellent vocals as always. I really enjoy the lyrics and how you brought the whole story out through that glass. The melody is so good, even just the two notes of "this glass."

Enjoy whatever happens!

A solid job all around.

Especially lyrically:

THIS GLASS
Was a cure and a curse
Delivered needed "medicine" that made life worse

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Dewey,

A nice production and good vocals.
(the drums seemed too busy for the bridge - something more subtle might have been more effective there?)
Well mixed.

I think you're right, Floyd! As you know, that's an easy fix. Thanks for the input! I've got some potential major lyric changes too that I'm thinking about as well.

I like the song and production is solid. I agree with Floyd on the drums.

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't get it. What is the glass and what's so important about it? I kept trying to figure out what you were singing about. Was it a drinking glass or something else?

Guitarhacker, Thank you for asking because I was second-guessing my lyrics on this one. As I noted in my response to Floyd, I was considering major lyric changes in order to clarify what "This Glass" was. I plan to re-write a few lines in this one and re-demo it so, if you are willing, I'd love to know if the pending changes clear up your confusion.

Na zdrowie!

Dewey
