Hey guys...here's my latest mix with BiaB...I tend to over produce stuff but I tried to keep this simple so the message would not be obscured by the production...a song with questions the answers to which I leave with the listeners...if you do...thanks for listening...Dan

This is a beautiful song! I really like the way you kept the backing sparse which really did make a clear path for the vocal and message! The vocal work is about as good as it gets! As I've stated before, your slower tunes like this remind me so much of PCD! Dan, Randy and Shawn would be proud of you! Loved it!

Thanks, Torrey

Haha. I know what you mean about over-producing and this software lends itself to such diversions. I never heard any of it in your music, but this is spoken by someone who can make Phil Specter's "wall of sound" seem like simple wainscoting.

This is a real beauty, Dan. A song of wisdom and a demand for self-examination. Your simple arrangement emphasizes the call for answers.

Whatever "Happened to morality...whatever happened to purity?
Whatever happened?....
To the men of integrity"

Enjoy whatever happens!

Dan,

A beautiful production and arrangement.

Vocals are excellent (though I thought a little loud compared to the backing tracks).

Torrey...I hope you know how much I love PC&D and any comparison is far-reaching but very much appreciated...it's their power, passion and harmonies I would aspire to and their Source of coarse! Thanks!

Marty...I not only over-produce songs I also over-post on the forum! But this software is so eye-opening and the perfect tool for my little world...it's priceless in helping me archive the music I have written over the years with quality soundtracks...thanks for your gracious comments about the song...I have to listen to this one every now and then to try to keep my balance and perspective on straight...Dan

Floyd...thanks so much for your thoughts...glad you enjoyed and I really appreciate technical thoughts as well...acoustic guitar (strangely enough) is hard to mix sometimes...I wanted kind of a guy on a stool kind of a thing so I did not want the acoustic too loud but it's a guessing game for me sometimes...thanks again...Dan

Gosh Dan, you did it again. I absolutely love this song. You often write songs that I wish I'd have written. Somehow you find a way to put a piece of my heart and mind into a melody and build a song around my thoughts. Fantastic write. I'm listening to it for the fourth time in a row as I'm typing now. Personally I love the mix and the entire sound. I can't say enough. That line, "Is it gone forever have we swept it away? Are there men of valor who could find it today?" sure hit me between the eyes. Thanks for posting it and giving me a chance to hear it.

Really cool song Dan. Another awesome vocal. I really like your production work on these songs. They are full and warm songs. The message you put into your songs are powerful as well. Loved the cello on the left. Another home run Dan..

Hey Brad...thank you so much for your thoughts about "Integrity"...your response is quite overwhelming to me...really all I've ever hoped for as writer is to reach a place in a listener that forms the bond of shared experience or inspiration or personal challenge and my hope for this song has always been just that...who knows, maybe I got there?

Thanks again...Dan

This is a very lovely song with exquisite harmonies and a lyric that asks what many of us wonder about, I’m sure.

The cello really works well with the acoustic guitar.

Your performances and the mix are excellent.

Well done!
