Hi Eric,

I just gave a listen to your tracks. This is not my genre, so I may be way off base, but I thought the lead guitar needed to come up in the mix a lot (or else all the other stuff come down a lot). There were some pretty good sounding guitar licks in there, but I found the other tracks overpowering and distracting, but again that may be the style you were going for. I found both tracks pretty similar, but if I had to choose the best one I'd probably go with the one on Soundcloud because the lead guitar seemed a little louder there.

Brad

Eric,
Fun Prog Rock and excellent guitar work! I listened to two versions on Soundcloud, not the Bandlab. #2 wins.
Maybe it is my ears, but Bandlab seems to use some kind of maximizer, translation in my view is more realistic on SC. I do agree with Brad that guitar could come up a bit. Thank you for sharing.

Misha.

Hi Eric
I like the version on soundcloud better
However, the song starts immediately without intro. Is that right ?
Anyway it sounds cool
Great solo
well done
Many greetings
Andi ;-)

We agree with Misha. The SC version does seems less compressed.
SC is one of the few platforms that supposedly does not alter the gain or add compression to uploads.

And, as always, your playing is very nice so bringing it up a couple of db's would help it shine more through the mix.

We enjoyed it!

Hi Eric, I will go for the Soundcloud version. Not sure why you included 2 mins of silence -- perhaps to mourn the end of the composition or to leave a space for a different ending. Anyway, impressive guitar licks that inspire me to practice more. smile

Eric,

I agree with Ghostgum. But no matter how much I practice my guitar skills, I will never reach your high-level playing.

I take it the two-minute silence was unintentional?

Hi Eric ...

I wouldn't mind hearing a little more Progressive Rock on the forum . Although the chord progression is sparse, your playing and the backing tracks soar provide a full and interesting listen. Really nice, indeed! Agree that your guitar could come a little more forward in the mix. YUour guitar skills are many and excellent! Always enjoy your sound.

Love the drive and entire soundscape - it's filled perfectly, top to bottom, front to rear. Sweet!!!

Alan

That's a cool guitar solo with some nice and interesting licks.

I like the SoundCloud version better because it's easier to follow the solo guitar.

The background guitars sound a bit muddy, maybe chopping of some low-end could give it more definition and make the solo more shine.

Soundcloud seems clearer though it also seems to lean a little with the clearer stuff on the right and the lead over there as well...could be my set up though.

Cheers

The arrangement creates pleasant soundscape, although maybe little monotonous. Guitars sound great, enjoyable playing with the lead guitar. I prefer v1 for clarity.

LOL, rarely happens that you gotta tell the guitarist to turn up, but that's the case here. Still could enjoy it, and nice to hear you play something apart from your usual. Good riffing as always!
