I think it has the 3 old round 5 pin connections, but not sure. If i knew the exact model # I'm sure there's an owner manual online somewhere?
If it's that old, then yes, it's most likely to have the 5-pin DIN connectors for MIDI. This can easily be converted to USB with a Roland UM-ONE USB MIDI interface (or similar)

Hi Nigel! This genre is something I wouldn't normally listen to, which just illustrates the idea that listening to something outside of one's preferences is really good for songwriting inspiration. I'm no vocalist, but what amazed me is how well you use your voice to its fullest to suit the melody and lyrics - particularly the low notes, glissando slides between pitches, and the loose timing around the beat. It has made me think about how to match vocal performance to the requirements of the song. Could you send some of your rain over to fellow antipodeans in Adelaide? We haven't seen a drop for months! Hi Dave and Kathy A good solid pace (BPM) to this one which gives the parts room to move. As others have said, solid bass work and keys sitting and supporting the rest. I thing the lead solo can then 'soar' above the band, which gives it focus. I love the 'smoky' vocals. The chorus chords (C - B7 - Em if I got it correct) are really attractive to listen to, and what the ear is seeking for completion of each verse - a great resolution to each. Regarding the lyrics, the theme is a great metaphor and can be adopted as the listener pleases. It could be about modern societal life, social media, addiction or mental health, or even political commentary or a bad relationship going wrong. Although, your last verse hints at the speed of life. Makes you want to pick up a guitar and play along! Andrew
It is the same as previous versions, in that it is not a General MIDI compatible synth plugin - this means it does not respond to regular MIDI patch change messages like those that BB or RB send. For any plugin to work as the "default synth" in either BB or RB it needs to be General MIDI compatible - something like VSTSynthFont or HALion/HALion Sonic. Jeff's instructions are the best way to use Kontakt in RB.
Hi Beth! I love the pace of this song, with the steady meter of the accompaniment contrasting with the drawn out but firmly sung 'No'. Other bits I like are the 7ths used in the guitar solo, and the surprising delight of the chord chosen under the lyric 'rejection' - loved this and love these types of harmonic surprises - but it didn't sound out of place - fitted right in. I'm going back to listen again! Andrew
Hi Trax I love listening to music from others that is left-of-centre compared to what I normally listen to or write. I agree this is why this forum sharing is so beneficial, and also why I benefit from using BIAB - I could never think outside of my own preferences, but BIAB styles force me to consider and be inspired by other options and add more colour when I am writing a song. Hi Greg - great song! I love the use of 'ooo' backing vocals and also the slide guitar solo - reminded me of George Harrison's style. The vocals also remind me of Randy Stonehill - not sure if he's around the place nowadays. I found it interesting the contrast of lyric theme with the musical style. The lyrics can be interpreted as a call to arms, whereas the music is very calming - the latter being something we all need right now. I am commenting from the southern hemisphere, but these issues bleed over to here as well. I think the real solution is the messy middle - coming together to recognise differences and find some common ground. Music is one of those things that can bring us together.

Laurent - I am learning to play within my capabilities, and age and illness is working against that, somewhat. I have to admit that when searching Google Translate, French came up best for the number of syllables to match the meter of the song. Tano - the current active songwriting challenge with my mates is we are each sending one of the others a lyric, chord progression or melody snippet for the other to develop into a full song. The challenge I have been sent is a lyric snippet 'You can’t say nothing no more, not a damn thing, that’s for sure. You can’t say nothing no more, otherwise you’ll be shown the door.' The tragedy of life is that it ends. Sooner or later, and hopefully later. We started doing some gigs for the local VA nursing home, and that led to some of the area Assisted Living Facilities. Although it's emotionally rewarding when someone with a stone face comes alive with a song/memory we are playing, it also punctuates that everyone's days are numbered. That's why it's important to get as much joy out of each day as you can. I went to one a couple of weeks ago. He wasn't a band member, but a technician who repaired musicians gear for many years. His wife went to the store, got back, and he was dead of a heart attack. RIP Gary, and to your family, you know we are there for you.
I thought I saw a video (Biab 25) where RT's notes can be moved in the sheet music edit portion where you can move/slide RT notes, like the midi notation edits does? Will the RT follow an edited note now? length, velocity etc? And play using whatever RT you have assigned to that channel? Thanks, Trax
