The Doo-wop vocals at the intro are creative.
The Vibes are a perfect way to present a melody for a Bossa and this has worked well.
There is a big contrast between the vibes and the guitar soloist though.

Thanks Video for the time to listen. You're right about the contrast between the vibes and the guitar. I wasn't to sure about the guitar. I might still change it.
Cheers

Doo-wop and bossa, two favorites for sure. A very unusual blend, but you made them work so well together, Mike. Very creative from inception to completion. It reminds me of a group of a cappella singers visiting a jazz club and getting carried away. You have a wonderful knack for making these tunes.

cubanpete,
Very creative use of the Doo-wop—it works surprisingly well. Really cool mash-up. Enjoyed the listen!
All my best,
Deej

Yep - smooth and unusual. Like soft voices coming from another room and intertwining with the Bossa. Cool!

Reading the previous comments, I'm surprised no one else has made mention of the distortion I'm hearing... sounds like either the bass, or kick is clipping.
That said, I loved the production, and what you did with the voices... Very cool piece...
I also really liked "Playful Heat"... I must've missed that one earlier.

Hello Cuban Pete,
I just introduced you to Laurent from Carlos Amigos... He and you have to make a new tribute to Santana was my suggestion. I don't see any problems for you in that challenge, given the quality of your songs!
Here you made again a very nice saloon bar or Jazz club song. The use of the new bgv was very creative. I admit, at the intro I had my doubts on them, but that was it. Nice song and as I must have said before, with a high mixing/mastering quality!
Nice day, Hans

Mike,I don't know how you managed it but those doo wops in a Bossa sound great
I like everything except that guitar lead. These old ears thinks that it is way to busy for this song. Maybe a marimba or mariachi trumpets or my favorite a nylon string guitar? Whatever you choose, if in fact you do change that guitar, make sure the melody is not very busy. YMMV
My dad showed me a 30-minute PowerPoint presentation of why one should always wear a condom during sex. They were all pictures of me!

I also really liked "Playful Heat"... I must've missed that one earlier. You're right, bloc-head. It sounds like every track was cranked to the max. I normally have my headphones set to 70% For this track even 40% was too loud. Same deal with Playful Heat, Cuban Pete. May I suggest a bit of compression or some adjustment to the levels? That said, I liked the vibe and mix.
My music may not set the world on fire but if it causes a glow in just one person's heart, it has all been worthwhile

Hi, thank you all for comments/suggestions; all taken under advice. Yeah I had my doubts also on how this would sound but I was pleased and surprised at the end. Again thanks to all of you.
