A new one from John Vaughans original lyric with additional lines and melody/music by me.
I was stuck on whether to shorten the title to "'Til the end" or leave it full length as "I will love you 'til the end". What say you?

I WILL LOVE YOU 'TIL THE END ©2022
Vaughan & Arnold
V1 I don't want you and the willow weeping
when I leave this world
I will just be sleeping.
And remember this my lovely friend
I should have said this by now,
"I will love you 'til the end"
Refrain
Oh I will, I will, yes I will ...
I will love you ...
... 'til the end.
V2 Fading dreams were hard to handle
when fate stepped in,
blew out the candle.
Then like boxers,we got up again
and kept on fighting,
but I'll love you 'til the end.
Refrain
Inst.
Br. And come that time when friends and
family gather
You'll take my hand
I'll close my eyes and dream of us
and when I smile ...
you'll understand.
V3 Seemed sutch a bad match to some,
but through troubled times,
we faced the world as one.
with the vows that we swore to defend,
you must know this by now ...
... I will love you 'til the end

Vic...really nice song...the intro is really cool...John did a great job on the lyrics...it's hard not to like a train-beat song and fingerpicked acoustic... your vocals were top-notch on this one...great harmony...really sweet solo interlude and great band all round! Did you play on this tune? I really enjoyed it!

"I will love you 'til the end" is a better title I think.
" 'Til the end" makes me also think of nasty things that might happen.

Lovely song with a nice beat and good lyrics.

I like your song, it has a nice drive and good lyrics.

As for the title question, I would go with "Til the end" because it leaves more room for the listener's imagination as to what the song is about.

Hello Vic,

Something different from "Stand Up", but also a very nice song to listen to.
Your vocals sound a bit different from that song. Still very nice, let me tell you that!

About the title, I would leave it the long version, like Anne-Marie suggested.
Or maybe "I love you", but it's your song, of course.
You wrote very nice lyrics, but I was wondering if they really fit in a country-like song.

Beside that, you have made a very nice choice of intruments too. I really liked their sound here.

Have a nice day,
Hans

Beautiful lyrics, sorrowful subject turned into a stronger and happier love song, "Then like boxers,we got up again and kept on fighting", nicely said. Great vocals interpret the story very emotionally. Nice chords and that picking guitar is playing them pleasantly. The solo guitar fits also very well. I like the kick & tambourine combination.

The long title feels to me more appropriate.

Another great song, Vic, you're on a roll. It's amazing what can be done with just four Realtracks. Another possibility for the title is "Love you 'til the end."

Hullo Hans.
Your comments are very welcome.
The title is still undecided as you can imagine by the comment by B.D. Thomas.

I feel this song is more folk/Americana than country.

Thank you for your comments.

Vic,
Fine lyrics with that trainbeat style moving the feel towards affirmation from sorrow.
Super vocal, nicely processed and a perfectly simple arrangement; I enjoyed everything about this.
Tunemonger stole my title suggestion.

Cheers,
Robert

Hi Vic ...

Another super song from you! As I listened I got a Kris Kristofferson vibe. Niceky done., But ui did wondfer how it would sounf with an acoustic lead, rather than electric. Regardkless, it was very enjoyable listen. I personally prefer the shorter versi0on of the title - 'Til The End.

Nice - real nice!

Alan

Thanks, Tunemonger.
I didn't think of just dropping the "I will".
Sounds good.

Vic, I like the guitars in this. They fit the song well. I enjoyed John’s lyrics and your performance. I agree with Tunemonger’s choice of titles. Good one, Tom

Hi, Vic. I usually like short titles, but even have a few much longer than this one. I'd go with the long one here, but shorten it as Bob suggests. John writes good lyrics, and I'm blown away with your ability to put them into a terrific song. Excellent vocals and a Goldilocks band, just right.

Enjoy whatever happens!

I almost left the drums off but on balance I think they work.
