I had a vision several years ago of an old man walking down the road and passing by our church, and the music caught his attention, and as he looked through the window, he saw people rejoicing and singing, and he wanted to know what it was all about.

Jesus Loves You

https://soundcloud.com/ronniefields/jesus-loves-you

The old man, walked through the door,
of a little country church.
He said, I heard the singing from outside.
He said, I wanted to see why you were so happy,
rejoice and dancing about,
and this is what the preacher said to him, he said,

Jesus loves you this I know,
for the bible tells me so,
it's God's amazing grace, that leads us on.
He'll put joy into your heart,
at the altar is where to start,
you'll want to live with him, eternally.

So the old man, got down on his knees,
he asked Jesus to hear his pleas,
he somehow knew that when he left he'd be changed.
The bible says, go and sin no more,
then you'll walk on heaven's shore,
hand in hand with the savior, who died for all, remember,

Jesus loves you this I know,
for the bible tells me so,
it's God's amazing grace, that leads us on.
He'll put joy into your heart,
at the altar is where to start,
you'll want to live with him, eternally,
You'll want to live with him, eternally.

I've had to change laptops, my other crashed, and along with
it all of my band in a box tracks, so I don't have a file as to which track I used.

Ronnie, this is absolutely fantastic.
I can hear Tom T. Hall singing this one.
Excellent vocal and love the lyrics.

IMHO this is your best to date.

Terrific song, Ronnie. Love the idea. I like how you incorporated familiarity into the chorus. I'm with Mario and the Tom T. Hall comment. Really well done!!

Enjoy whatever happens!

Ronnie...welcome back to the forum...I've missed hearing your songs...great song! the melody is top-notch stuff and the key changes so very cool and tasteful...I love the story line and lyrics (of coarse) and your vocal is so very well done...your voice sounds strong and confident...you had me with that crying steel guitar for sure! well crafted and performed!

Write and sing some of the very best country gospel. I always enjoy your songs. @Wish you posted a little more often. But, it's a real treat when you do!

Best to you ...

Wonderful
I like the story you are telling.
Perfect backing Real Tracks for this song, and your vocals fit like glove.

Old school country, Very Nice
